November marked the first stop in Alshival.Ai's monthly Skatepark BBQ series, where we bring food, music, and data nerdery to a different Texas skatepark every month.
For this kickoff edition we landed at Victor Garcia Municipal Park in Pharr, Texas, serving up plates to roughly 25 seriously hungry skaters who rolled in between sessions. The vibe: sun, grip tape dust, and a grill that never cooled down.
Why Skateparks?
- Skate communities thrive on the same creativity and grit we value in the Data Team.
- Texas parks each have their own flavor—rotating locations keeps the meetup spontaneous and inclusive.
- Sharing food lowers the barrier for curious locals to ask about AI, tech careers, and our internship programs.
On the Menu
The crew kept it classic with beef fajita and chicken tacos, cold drinks, served with some kickflips. Huge shout out to Salvador, who captained the grill like a pro and made sure every plate was stacked.
See You in December
We’re already scouting the next park somewhere else in the Lone Star State. If you have a favorite spot—or want to volunteer—drop the Data Team a line. Until then, keep the wheels spinning and the grill hot.
